It hurts to let go. Sometimes it seems the harder you try to hold on to something or someone the more it wants to get away. You feel like some kind of criminal for having felt, for having wanted. For having wanted to be wanted. It confuses you, because you think that your feelings were wrong and it makes you feel so small because it’s so hard to keep it inside when you let it out and it doesn’t come back. You’re left so alone that you can’t explain.
Damn, there’s nothing like that, is there? I’ve been there and you have too. You’re nodding your head.

I miss you when I wake.
I talk myself into putting on my gameface.
Then I see you, impossibly more beautiful than the day before.
And I miss you so much more.
It’s hard to look into your eyes for long.
Feels like if I do I will implode right before those wonderful orbs of amber.
There’s no smile like yours. It, literally, sends happy throughout my body.
There’s no feeling like the soft of your skin on mine right before we fall asleep.
There’s no smell like the scent of your hair when I kiss your head before you wake up.
Every night I dread the dreams of you, and yet I hope for them.
I’m living in memories.
